Margaret Heinish, master hand applique quilt artist and teacher has a yearly Applique Salon up at the UCLA Conference Center at Big Bear. In May, 2008 I attended the 4-day adventure. Good food, good friends, beautiful mountain scenery and 3 full days of learning to make small little stitches.I wasn't fast, but I learned a great deal.
